Last Updated: 1 April 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ZenPause app and website (https://zenpause.top) operated by ZenPause ("we", "our", or "us") and created by Sonaben Rathod, hereby referred to as Service Provider.
By accessing or using ZenPause, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Description of Service
ZenPause is a self-directed screen time control app that enables users to voluntarily limit access to selected apps and categories on their own device using Apple's Screen Time technologies.
The app is intended for personal use to support focus, productivity, and healthier digital habits.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use ZenPause.
By using the service, you represent that:
- You are the owner or authorized user of the device
- You are using ZenPause for your own device and personal purposes
3. User Control and Responsibility
ZenPause is a self-imposed control tool:
- You are solely responsible for selecting apps or categories to restrict
- You may modify or remove restrictions at any time
- You are responsible for managing your own device usage
ZenPause does not enforce restrictions without your consent and does not control your device independently.
4. How the Service Works
ZenPause plans to use Apple's system frameworks, including:
- Family Controls
- Managed Settings
Restrictions are enforced at the operating system level by Apple. ZenPause does not directly block apps but configures system-level restrictions based on your selections.
ZenPause requires your explicit authorization through Apple's Screen Time permission system.
5. Limitations of Service
While ZenPause is designed to support digital wellness:
- We do not guarantee that restrictions cannot be bypassed
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- The effectiveness of the app depends on user behavior and system limitations
ZenPause is a supportive tool, not a guaranteed enforcement mechanism.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use ZenPause:
- For monitoring or tracking other individuals without their consent
- For parental control, employee surveillance, or any unauthorized supervision
- In any way that violates applicable laws or Apple's platform policies
- To attempt to reverse-engineer or misuse Apple's system frameworks
